The biggest by far! Fill a sandwich with a single leaf. Gentle scent from light green leaves.
Culture
Leave plenty of space for the young plants, treating like lettace but take care not to over-water. Full sun exposition.
Harvest/Use
Harvest the leaves as reguired and enjoy an abundance of one of the tastiest summer herbs around. Make surplus leaves into pesto sauce and store for winter use.

Medicinal Notes
{Associate} Basilic was used in Elizabethan times to clear the brain and to soothe headaches, it is renowned as an aphrodisiac. An infusion of fresh shoots is used in digestive disorders and as an expectorant. It has a healing effect and is used in compresses and baths.
