Description
A hardy member of the cabbage family more commonly eaten in salads or as a condiment. Very attractive crispy leaves form around a central stem. Wonderful taste of mustard.
Culture
Plant out the plugs in rich and moisture retentive ground from March. Mulch and water in dry weather. Pinch out flowers as the buds start to shoot to promote leaf production.
Harvest/Use
Tear single leaves from the central stem as required. New buds will form with new leaf production. Add raw to salads or cook in sauces/stews.
